British Automobile Owners Association
of New Mexico

The BAOA is just a bunch of British car enthusiasts in New Mexico. Most of us live in the Albuquerque area, but a lot of us are from other cities around the state like Farmington, Las Cruces, and Santa Fe. And we even have a few members from Colorado, Arizona, and Texas. So if you're like us and love to drive British motorcars, you are welcome to join us no matter where you live.

Ownership of a British car is not required for membership, but the love of British vehicles and kindness toward their owners is essential.

Ever wonder who in Albuquerque was selling British cars with cheezy ads like this (complete with a grammatical error) back in the day? Mary Quirolo dug through some library archives and came up with a list of Albuquerque British car dealers along with some of their own cheezy ads.

She also found a newspaper article about an Austin A40 convertible circling the globe back in 1951, and its stop here in Albuquerque. A first person account of the trip by the driver Alan Hess is HERE , courtesy of the AustinMemories.com web site.

Plan on joining the BAOA for New Mexico's largest all-British car show. This year's event will be held at Haynes Park in Rio Rancho.

You don't have to be a BAOA member to participate in the show - all British car aficionados are welcome.

Spectators and the general public are welcome free of charge. And if you would like to enter your Britich car in the show there is no charge for BAOA members, and only $10 per car for non-members.

So pack a picnic lunch and come out and see some of the finest vintage and modern British cars in New Mexico.

2026 RIO GRANDE VALLEY REGIONAL RENDEZVOUS

September 25 - 27, 2026
Farmington, New Mexico

Save the Date. Our 36th annual Rendezvous will be held in Farmington, New Mexico on the last weekend of September.

It's a weekend rally where we get together with both old and new friends, for three days of dining and driving, sight seeing, a car show, and overall British car camaraderie.

You don't have to be a BAOA member to attend - all British car aficionados are welcome.

We are still in the planning phase, so check back here in the Spring of 2026 for all the details.
